Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 7p–7a
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend at minimum
  • No on-call required
  • Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays (per rotation)
  • Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
  • Role Overview: This position supports a high-acuity NICU unit caring for infants from 23 weeks gestation to term, including those with surgical and complex medical needs. Broaden your clinical expertise alongside an experienced team, utilizing top-tier technology such as the EPIC EMR system, and collaborate interdepartmentally by floating to units like Pediatrics, PICU, and Pediatric Hem/Onc. Support is robust, with a favorable nursing assistant ratio and dedicated charge RNs every shift.

    Qualifications:

  • Current RN license
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • At least 2 years of recent NICU experience
  • Proficiency with basic ventilator and central line management
  • Experience managing pre- and post-surgical infants, tracheostomy, G-tube, breastfeeding/bottle/gavage feeding, blood transfusions, and infant venous sticks
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to critically ill neonates
  • Administer and monitor specialized treatments and feeds
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Accurately document in EPIC and maintain detailed patient records
  • Float as needed to pediatric specialty units
