Summer Nurse Needed in Portland, ME

Now Hiring: 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) | Summer + 2026-2027 School Year | Portland, ME

ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 1:1 opportunity supporting a high school student in Portland, Maine. This assignment begins in the summer and will continue into the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Details:

* Summer assignment: July 6 – August 21
* Renewing for the 2026-2027 school year
* Monday – Friday
* 8:00 AM pick-up at student’s home
* 3:00 PM drop-off daily
* Fridays end at 2:00 PM
* 1:1 student support role

Student Needs:

* High school student with Angelman Syndrome
* Non-verbal and uses a wheelchair
* No daily medications at school
* Seizure history (emergency meds available; no seizures in over 1 year)
* Tremors managed through repositioning
* Eats soft food PO and requires close supervision/assistance
* Total care for activities of daily living
* Two-person assist for toileting (diapered)
* Requires close monitoring for safety (grabbing/putting items in mouth)

We’re looking for a caring nurse who is comfortable providing individualized support, transportation assistance, and skilled care throughout the school day.
