ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 1:1 opportunity supporting a high school student in Portland, Maine. This assignment begins in the summer and will continue into the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details:
Summer assignment: July 6 – August 21
Renewing for the 2026-2027 school year
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM pick-up at student’s home
3:00 PM drop-off daily
Fridays end at 2:00 PM
1:1 student support role
Student Needs:
High school student with Angelman Syndrome
Non-verbal and uses a wheelchair
No daily medications at school
Seizure history (emergency meds available; no seizures in over 1 year)
Tremors managed through repositioning
Eats soft food PO and requires close supervision/assistance
Total care for activities of daily living
Two-person assist for toileting (diapered)
Requires close monitoring for safety (grabbing/putting items in mouth)
We’re looking for a caring nurse who is comfortable providing individualized support, transportation assistance, and skilled care throughout the school day.
