Step into a dynamic role where your expertise in operating room nursing can make a real difference to patient outcomes. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with a dedicated surgical team, play a pivotal role in perioperative care, and contribute to innovative procedures that enhance lives every day.

Schedule:

  • 4 shifts of 10 hours, 6:30am–5:00pm (start/end times can be flexible)
  • Weekday on-call: 5:00pm–7:00am, one day per week
  • Weekend on-call: 48-hour coverage, one weekend per month
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN license with strong background in operating room procedures
  • Previous OR experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of operating room safety, protocols, and compliance standards
  • Spine case experience is highly preferred
  • Scrubbing capability is a strong advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during high-acuity cases
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on, patient-focused preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
  • Circulate and scrub as required during surgical procedures, especially spine surgeries
  • Maintain sterile field and uphold the highest standards of infection control
  • Document accurate, thorough perioperative patient information
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in critical decision-making processes
