An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse with a NICU background. This contract role focuses on delivering high-quality care to neonates in a fast-paced environment in Madison, WI. You will play a vital part in supporting newborns and their families, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and clear RN license
  • At least one year of recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond rapidly to urgent situations
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with neonatal equipment and evidence-based care practices
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to premature and critically ill infants, including assessments, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and adjust life-support equipment as needed
  • Educate and support families throughout their NICU stay
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients, families, and staff
