Position Summary:
Intermediate School District 287-BZW is seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered School Nurse (RN) to provide per diem coverage. The RN will support student health and wellness, promote a safe school environment, and collaborate with staff, students, and families to address health needs that impact learning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, and emergency response
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs) as needed
• Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers to support student health and safety
• Participate in health screenings and assist with communicable disease prevention and control
• Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations and school district policies
• Respond to health-related emergencies and coordinate care with emergency services when necessary

Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
• Current CPR/AED certification (BLS preferred)
• Previous experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or community health preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying school environments

Working Conditions:
• On-call/as-needed basis with flexible scheduling
• Work performed in school settings with exposure to typical school health environments
• May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting
