Step into a dynamic surgical environment at a renowned teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma designation and state-of-the-art facilities. As a vital member of the Main Operating Room team, you’ll play a key role in varied surgical procedures, benefitting from a collaborative culture focused on patient safety and exceptional care.

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Expect 6-9 on-call shifts per month, with call back, weekend, and holiday rotation
  • Rotating schedule within a 6-week cycle
  • Facility-wide orientation provided for the first week
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in General Operating Room procedures; 5 years required for Cardiovascular OR (CVOR)
  • Surgical Tech: BLS certification and graduation from an accredited program; CST preferred
  • OR RN: Active BLS required
  • Proficiency with advanced EMR (EPIC Optime) and surgical equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • First-time travelers considered if experience aligns
  • Responsibilities:

  • Scrub for a diverse range of cases including general surgery (GYN, Plastics, Robotics), orthopedic, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, and more
  • Maintain readiness for all surgical procedures as required within the hospital’s 20 OR rooms and 2 cysto suites
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards using the hospital scrub exchange system (surgical green)
  • Participate in on-call coverage, assisting during high-acuity or emergent situations
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive and inclusive environment
