Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CVOR RN
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in using clinical technology and electronic medical records
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs

    • Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible shifts may be available, depending on unit needs
  • Typical workweek includes rotating shifts, with call responsibilities as needed

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, care, and monitoring of cardiovascular surgery patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Scrub and circulate during complex cardiac and vascular surgeries
  • Ensure all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready and available
  • Provide skilled support to the surgical team, anticipating needs and ensuring patient safety
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation within EMR systems
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess patient status post-surgery
  • Uphold strict adherence to infection prevention and all safety protocols
