1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 2026–2027 school year in Tacoma, Washington. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide direct nursing support to a student within a school setting while working collaboratively with educational staff to ensure student health, safety, and success throughout the school day.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
6.5 Hours per Day
School Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Dates: August 31, 2026 – June 23, 2027
Qualifications:
Active Washington State LPN License required
Must be fingerprinted through OSP
Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
Comfortable working with students requiring tracheostomy care
Ability to assist with student transportation/busing needs
Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and health support throughout the school day
Monitor and address student health needs in accordance with physician orders and care plans
Perform and assist with tracheostomy-related care as needed
Support student safety and health needs during transportation and school activities
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Communicate effectively with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers
Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal health regulations
