Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • 75% holiday coverage expectation
  • Up to 6 approved days off (excluding holidays)
  • Schedule cycle every 6 weeks
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 18 months of recent PCU experience
  • Accepted: first-time travelers
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Advanced skills in cardiac gtt, cardiac rhythm interpretation, wound care, chest tubes, central line management, and tracheostomy care
  • Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to a variety of PCU patients (e.g., CHF, chest pain, stroke, respiratory issues, diabetes)
  • Manage a 1:4 ratio on most shifts; occasionally 1:5 based on patient acuity
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams including round-the-clock RT, hospitalist, intensivist care, and support staff
  • Float to partner facilities within the region as needed (travel compensated for mid-shift reassignments)
  • Document in EPIC, manage medications with Omnicell, and utilize the latest patient monitoring technology
