Working in a 31-bed emergency department renowned for its swift pace and variety of cases offers a unique chance to hone your expertise. The average census reaches 78 diverse patients each day, spanning all ages and backgrounds. Exposure to a full spectrum of high-acuity diagnoses—from trauma and behavioral health to sepsis and cardiac emergencies—will allow you to sharpen your clinical skills and leadership abilities. With 24/7 support from experienced charge nurses, dedicated ER physicians, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll benefit from observing different protocols, technology preferences, and patient care models, adding valuable dimension to your resume.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Days: 0700-1900
  • Mids: 1100-2300
  • Nights: 1900-0700
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation; assigned holidays per rotation
  • Manager-created schedules in 6-week increments
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience (any trauma level)
  • Strong IV skills, adept with foleys/NG tubes, neuro assessment, code response, pressor/drip initiation, sedation, triage
  • Prefers Cerner EMR experience
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and confident leading as an ER subject matter expert
  • Not open to first-time travelers
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive emergency patient care for all ages
  • Managing cardiac drips, critical interventions, codes, and rapid assessments
  • Supporting bedside procedures, participating in trauma stabilization
  • Ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and seamless communication within the care team
