This opportunity places you in a busy urban emergency department with 31 beds and an average daily census of 78, providing care to all ages, from infants through geriatrics. The unit welcomes your expertise across a spectrum of emergencies, including complex cardiovascular, trauma, behavioral health, and critical medical conditions, offering rich experiences and professional growth. Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: Days (7AM–7PM), Mids (11AM–11PM), Nights (7PM–7AM)
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation required
  • Holiday work follows a fair rotation
  • Schedules in 6-week increments, flexibility considered
  • Responsibilities

  • Triage and manage critical patients—heart failure, trauma, sepsis, DKA, and more
  • Skillfully initiate IVs, start foleys/NG tubes, conduct neuro assessments (NIHSS)
  • Respond to codes; manage pressors, sedation, and cardiac drips
  • Support bedside procedures, provide moderate sedation
  • Lead ER care with expertise, adaptability, and teamwork
  • Ideal Qualifications

  • Unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years ER experience (travel experience required)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • Excellent adaptability and collaborative skills
