Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN license in the state of California
  • Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire, with ongoing maintenance
  • Current ACLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire, with ongoing maintenance
  • Current PALS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire, with ongoing maintenance
  • At least one year of perioperative or OR nursing experience or on-the-job training
  • CNOR (AORN) certification preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Pre- and Post-Op experience preferred
  • Ability and commitment to participate in on-call rotations
  • Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care throughout the peri-operative continuum for all age groups
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to coordinate care
  • Guide and support OR Technicians and other staff, ensuring adherence to standards
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-service training
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues
