Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel contract
  • Must arrive the Thursday before start for onboarding
  • Responsibilities:

  • Independently administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and injections per provider order
  • Access port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters; perform venipuncture, manage dressings, and obtain labs via central lines
  • Maintain precise and thorough documentation of patient condition, treatments, medications, and responses
  • Ensure safety and proper handling, administration, and disposal of hazardous drugs, using PPE correctly
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver education on medications, treatments, side effects, disease, and lifestyle adjustments
  • Verify informed consents and initiate appropriate emergency actions when necessary
  • Notify providers of unusual occurrences and advocate for patient needs
  • Proficient in Epic EMR
  • Participate in maintaining a safe, policy-compliant environment
  • Additional related duties as assigned
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with current oncology experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy administration
  • Strong ability to access/manage ports, PICCs, and Hickman catheters
  • Prior Epic EMR experience
  • Knowledge of hazardous drug protocols and PPE
  • Excellent patient education and communication skills
