Step into an advanced oncology nursing position in a highly respected, Magnet-designated teaching hospital. As an RN with a background in medical-surgical oncology, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplant patients in a dynamic environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care to oncology and BMT populations, including interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
  • Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients post-auto stem cell transplant
  • Respond to rapidly changing conditions and collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Float to various units within the oncology department based on operational needs (not limited to a single floor)
  • Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1) and adhere to best practices in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and BCLS certification required
  • Ability to pass the Relias EKG exam, with proficient dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Minimum of 1 year recent MS Oncology experience
  • Chemo certification strongly preferred
  • Strong EPIC charting skills (training provided as needed)
  • Prior exposure to teaching hospitals or high-volume oncology care environments is advantageous
  • Flexibility and adaptability for floating assignments within oncology units
