Engage with a team-oriented, fast-paced environment in a 31-bed emergency department that manages a varied caseload, from cardiac emergencies and trauma stabilization to complex medical cases across the lifespan. Here, you’ll work alongside 24/7 support resources including charge nurses, ER physicians, respiratory therapists, and a comprehensive care team—giving you exceptional exposure to diverse care practices and acute leadership styles. Shepherdsville’s ER challenges you to refine your subject matter expertise and further build your resume with meaningful experiences outside your home region.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shifts: 0700–1900
  • Mid shifts: 1100–2300
  • Night shifts: 1900–0700
  • Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
  • Holiday scheduling: Assigned based on facility needs/rotation
  • Schedules provided in 6-week increments
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent ER experience (any trauma level)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency in IV starts, foley/NG tube insertion, neuro assessments, triage, codes, sedation, pressor and cardiac drip management
  • Strong adaptability and team-player mentality
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Subject Matter Expertise in the ER setting vital
  • First-time travelers not accepted
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver emergency care for patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Initiate and manage complex therapies, including critical drips and sedation
  • Lead by example in high-stakes scenarios
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
  • Participate in and support trauma stabilization interventions
