Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, travel assignment
  • Required ability to float within the defined regional facilities as need arises
  • Orientation provided (facility and departmental, two days)
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg-telemetry experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Proficiency in stroke and cardiac patient care, IV/PIV starts, trach care, NGT placement, tube management, and medication drips (including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF)
  • Strong clinical documentation skills (Epic preferred)
  • Willingness to float to designated facilities within the region
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-focused nursing care to a diverse adult medical-surgical and telemetry population
  • Assess, monitor, and intervene for patients experiencing complex conditions such as stroke, GI bleeds, cardiac events, and altered mental status
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
  • Efficiently manage patient loads of 1:5-6, with flexibility for variable acuity
  • Maintain high standards during peak census periods, occasionally working with increased ratios
