Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; schedule details shared during the interview process
  • Flexible float requirements between all Med/Tele units as operationally needed
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license (state requirements apply)
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry
  • BLS required, ACLS preferred (ACLS and EKG competency exam must be completed during onboarding)
  • Strong skills in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer use
  • Experience with common drips: insulin, heparin, drips titrated to HR
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Philips monitors, Pyxis medication administration
  • Med Surg certification considered a plus
  • Open to both seasoned travelers and first-time travel RNs
  • Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care and clinical assessments for a range of inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry diagnoses
  • Manage a 1:4-6 patient ratio, collaborating with LPNs and CNAs who provide vital support
  • Accurately document and coordinate treatments via Epic EMR and advanced monitoring technologies
  • Float as needed to other Med/Tele units, ensuring continuity and quality of care
  • Engage proactively with multidisciplinary teams, including Charge Nurses, Resource Nurses, Hospitalists, and Respiratory Therapists
  • Participate in both facility and unit-specific orientation (educational modules and hands-on training)
