This position is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced RN specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to expand their clinical expertise. Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license (state compact licensure accepted)
  • Minimum of two years’ recent CVOR experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical competency with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams and adapt to varying protocols

    • Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care throughout perioperative phases in the CVOR
  • Assist with vascular and open-heart procedures, preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ensure a sterile and safe environment, strictly following surgical standards and infection control measures
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient response
  • Support surgeons and anesthesia providers to facilitate optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on the preoperative and postoperative process as appropriate
