Location: Carbon County and/or Lehigh County, PA

School Year: 2026–2027
Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract Dates: August 10, 2026 – June 11, 2027
Position Overview

  • A school-based educational services organization is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to support students across multiple school settings. Opportunities are available for both classroom-based and itinerant nursing roles serving students throughout Carbon and Lehigh counties.
  • Available Positions

    Classroom Nurse

  • Full-time assignment in specialized classrooms.
  • Provide direct nursing support to students throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with educational and related service teams to support student health needs.
  • Itinerant School Nurse

  • Full-time position supporting multiple school locations.
  • Travel between assigned schools based on daily needs.
  • Provide healthcare services, assessments, and support across various educational settings.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing care to students during the school day.
  • Monitor and address student health needs and medical concerns.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school protocols.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families.
  • Respond appropriately to health emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, district policies, and nursing standards.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Current State Nursing License (LPN or RN).
  • Prior school-based nursing experience preferred.
  • Pediatric nursing experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple students/patients simultaneously.
  • Experience beyond one-to-one nursing assignments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments.
