This contract position offers hands-on experience for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work within a school setting near Lakewood, WA. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, providing essential care either in float roles across the school or in dedicated 1:1 assignments, depending on daily needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current, active LPN license for Washington State
  • Prior experience or strong comfort level working with children or adolescents
  • Skill set covering G-tube care, diabetes management, and epilepsy support; familiar with additional mild to moderate medical conditions
  • Strong communication and organization skills for seamless collaboration with school staff, students, and families
  • Adaptable and dependable with a compassionate approach
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care in either floating capacity or designated 1:1 assignments, based on student needs
  • Provide medical support such as G-tube feeds, diabetic monitoring and interventions, and seizure management as required
  • Oversee routine medication administration, health assessments, documentation, and implementation of care plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school administration to promote a safe, inclusive environment for students needing medical support
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all state and district policies
  • Role Details:

  • Onsite position based at one school
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday
  • Spanning the full 2026/2027 school year (August to June)
