This full-time contract opportunity (8:00am – 4:00pm) calls for a Registered Nurse to contribute their expertise in a behavioral health-focused setting. The role centers on NuView Academy’s Behavioral Health Program, known for its comprehensive approach to medication administration and holistic student support.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Current RN license (New Jersey)
  • Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric/behavioral health settings preferred
  • Strong skills in medication management and administration
  • Adept at responding to student health concerns and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Calm, caring approach to crisis situations
  • Commitment to upholding clinical protocols and maintaining accurate documentation

    • Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily and as-needed medications, ensuring compliance with physician orders and district policies
  • Monitor students in the behavioral health program, providing medical intervention and emotional support as required
  • Assess, treat, and document student illnesses or injuries throughout the school day
  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, and behavioral specialists to promote a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate health updates and care plans to parents/guardians and staff as appropriate
  • Maintain meticulous health records and track medication inventory
  • Participate in staff training and professional development
