Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered LVN or LPN license in California
  • Previous experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Proven expertise in managing seizures, including implementation and monitoring of seizure action plans
  • Knowledge of current best practices in school nursing and emergency health response
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver compassionate care
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily nursing care, medication administration, and ongoing health support to students
  • Respond promptly and effectively to students experiencing seizures, following established protocols
  • Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to promote student safety and wellness
  • Educate staff regarding seizure action plans and emergency response procedures
  • Keep thorough documentation of care, incidents, and medication administration
  • Support the overall health initiatives within the school community
