Experienced registered nurses with a background in the operating room are needed for a fulfilling contract assignment. This role requires skilled, compassionate professionals who can adapt quickly and ensure the highest quality of patient care throughout surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with good standing
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent OR (Operating Room) nursing experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of preoperative and intraoperative procedures
  • Ability to anticipate needs of surgical team during procedures
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms, supplies, and equipment for scheduled surgeries
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff to provide optimal care before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety at all times
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Accurately document nursing interventions and patient responses in medical records
  • Assist with patient positioning, surgical counts, and inventory control
