A dynamic surgical services department is seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist (ORT) to support operating room functions during a contract assignment. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and patient safety, working collaboratively with surgeons and perioperative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
  • Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program
  • At least one year of recent experience in a perioperative or surgical setting
  • Strong grasp of sterile field maintenance, surgical instrumentation, and supply chain needs
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team requirements during diverse procedures
  • Familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and surgical safety regulations
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment in adherence to established protocols
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operative procedures
  • Maintain sterile techniques at all times, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
  • Manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently, anticipating needs during procedures
  • Support preoperative and postoperative care, including equipment sterilization and room turnover
  • Accurately document surgical counts, specimens, and any incident reports
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure positive surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction

    $1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
