Exciting opportunity available for a skilled professional with experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician. This contract position calls for a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in surgical environments, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or proven experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile field maintenance
  • Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, procedures, and equipment setup
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols and standards
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and the monitoring of aseptic technique during procedures
  • Pass instruments and supplies during surgeries efficiently and anticipate needs of the surgical team
  • Maintain the sterile field through diligent observation and quick response to any contamination risks
  • Perform instrument counts with nursing staff to ensure nothing is retained post-procedure
  • Support with cleaning, restocking, and turning over operating rooms between cases
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records as required

    $1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
