Experienced surgical technologists are needed to support a busy operating room team. In this contract role, you’ll work 12-hour day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM), providing essential support in surgical procedures and participating in night and weekend call rotations. Candidates with a background in transplant or spine surgeries are strongly preferred, as these specialties will be prioritized by department leadership.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Includes night and weekend call rotations
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Active DORA and NBSTSA credentials (both required)
  • Previous experience in the operating room, specifically with transplant and/or spine procedures
  • Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical teams and adapt to varied cases
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Primary Duties:

  • Prepare and maintain instruments, supplies, and sterile fields for surgeries
  • Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs during complex cases
  • Assist with patient positioning and safety measures before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure case efficiency
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergent surgical needs as scheduled
