Deliver nursing care in a Med Surg setting with a primary focus on patient assessment, treatment, and collaboration across departments. This contract opportunity offers flexible weekly hours—36 or 48 per week—and the chance to make a difference in a dynamic, neuro-focused inpatient unit. Night shift positions are currently available; orientation is provided on day shift, and travelers must be available for the full orientation week.

Schedule & Hours

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Flexible guaranteed weekly hours: 36 or 48 (must be indicated upon submission)
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid RN license (meeting criteria for Missouri or current Missouri license)
  • One year of recent inpatient Med Surg experience required
  • BLS certification from AHA required
  • Preferred: ACLS from AHA and one year of Neuro experience
  • Willingness to float to similar/lower acuity units if needed
  • EPIC EMR experience helpful
  • Duties & Expectations

  • Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide direct patient care for all age groups
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments for optimal outcomes
  • Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and patient rights
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by self and assistive personnel
  • Engage in continuous compliance with department, hospital, and state practice guidelines
  • Black scrubs required; all other attire is not permitted
