You’ll serve as a district float nurse, meaning you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining student health and safety by traveling between multiple schools and supporting a variety of student needs. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active LPN/LVN licensure in Missouri is required.
  • Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and g-tubes is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school staff, students, and families.
  • Adaptable, with strong organizational skills to manage a floating schedule across the district.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to students with complex medical needs.
  • Travel to and work at multiple schools within the district as assigned.
  • Respond rapidly and competently to student health concerns and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure all documentation complies with district policies.
  • Educate students and staff on wellness practices, safety protocols, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create a safe, inclusive environment for all students.
