Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic Post-Anesthesia Care Unit setting, supporting surgical recovery and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This contract-based opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses with a passion for post-operative care and a strong clinical skillset.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, valid RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions effectively
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Proficient in monitoring patients post-surgery, administering medications, and managing potential complications
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgery or other procedures
  • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and post-operative progress
  • Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and recovery staff to support optimal outcomes
  • Offer clear post-operative instructions and educate patients and their families on at-home care requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold standards for patient safety and privacy
