Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Proven experience working in a CVOR or cardiac surgery operating room setting
  • Advanced knowledge of CVOR protocols, patient assessments, and critical interventions
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Capacity to respond quickly and effectively in urgent situations
  • Attention to detail and ability to collaborate in a high-stress surgical environment
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterility, safety, and infection control protocols
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and assist with anesthesia as needed
  • Document all patient care activities thoroughly in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members to coordinate seamless patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative care plans
