A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled RN with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. Utilize your expertise in surgical patient care in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with an outstanding surgical team to deliver critical support before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid).
  • Strong understanding of CVOR protocols, patient safety, and sterile technique.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure environments and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

    • Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (specific duration to be discussed with successful candidates).
  • Schedule may include rotating shifts, including some nights, weekends, or holidays depending on surgical needs.

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
  • Monitor vital signs, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate patient status to the surgical team.
  • Support surgeons by circulating and/or scrubbing as required in CVOR cases.
  • Anticipate needs of patients and surgical team to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Uphold infection control, safety practices, and confidentiality standards at all times.
