As a travel nurse in an elementary school setting, you’ll be assigned to a single location, providing 1:1 care for an incoming Kindergarten student within a private placement severe developmental disability classroom. This role offers pre-scheduled hours (8:30am-2:00pm, totaling 30 hours per week) for excellent work-life balance. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license—experience in school nursing or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Comfortable working 1:1 with students possessing complex medical needs
  • Knowledge or experience with the following a plus:
  • Bainbridge-Ropers Syndrome
  • Chronic lung disease
  • Mild heart conditions
  • Scoliosis
  • Reverse circadian rhythm sleep disorders
  • G-Tube management
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous 1:1 care to a Kindergarten-age student in an elementary classroom
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to student’s daily medical and nursing needs
  • Collaborate with special education staff and therapists to support individualized plans
  • Communicate effectively with educators and guardians regarding student progress and needs
