Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License as a Registered Nurse
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse Endorsement (required)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with campus staff and healthcare professionals
  • Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure completion of campus-level nursing tasks
  • Complete monthly file reviews to verify all doctors’ orders for medication administration are current
  • Audit medication counts and records for accuracy and compliance
  • Review seizure, allergy, and asthma action plans regularly; confirm accessible, non-expired medications for emergencies
