A travel nursing role in the Operating Room here provides unparalleled exposure to advanced surgical practices, multidisciplinary teamwork, and an array of patient diagnoses—from CAD to mitral regurgitation. Schedule/Hours:

  • Two 10-hour shifts per week
  • 13-week assignment
  • On-call: up to 7 days per four-week schedule (including one full weekend)
  • Qualifications:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s degree or higher)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room RN experience
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • Willingness to float between units if census is low
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver top-tier perioperative care for adults, managing 1:1 patient ratios in a 2-bed OR environment
  • Monitor patient safety, respond promptly to intraoperative needs, and collaborate with the surgical team
  • Document accurately in the EPIC EMR system and manage medications using Omnicell
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and adapt to varying patient care assignments
