Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment with flexible scheduling options
  • Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • BLS certification, with ACLS required upon hire or within 60 days
  • Strong O.R. nursing background; CNOR preferred
  • Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Experience in high-acuity or fast-paced surgical settings is an advantage
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process based on best practices and established protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to advance patient well-being and safety
  • Advocate for patient dignity, privacy, and comfort with compassionate communication
  • Maintain sterile fields, manage instruments, and adhere to stringent safety policies
  • Oversee medication administration and pain assessment documentation
  • Accurately identify patients, verify procedures, and perform required surgical checks
  • Assist with discharge planning, patient/family education, and seamless communication across care teams
  • Lead by example in infection prevention, hand hygiene, and ethical standards
