This assignment presents the unique chance to serve as a bedside trauma RN in a fast-paced emergency department that treats every type of patient and prioritizes excellence in patient care. Here, emergency nurses master skills such as medication titration, arterial line management, mass transfusions, and handling critical interventions like chest tube placement. You will coordinate and deliver care for complex needs, all while ensuring top-level safety and an outstanding patient experience.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 3 x 12-hour day shifts
  • Qualifications:

  • Must reside at least 50 miles from Washington, DC
  • Active RN license (state/district)
  • Graduate from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
  • Minimum of three years recent Emergency Room experience
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
  • BSN highly desired
  • Ability and willingness to work in the trauma room and manage 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Responsibilities:
