Schedule/Hours:

  • Nights, 7PM – 7AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Voluntary on-call opportunities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement patient-centered care for a wide range of ages in the emergency department.
  • Ensure high standards of safety and quality, following unit and organizational protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Treat everyone with compassion, professionalism, and respect.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations, employing strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
  • Float to assist other departments during low census as needed.
  • Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license.
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA) required.
  • PALS (AHA) or ENPC required.
  • TNCC or ATCN required; CPI or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient rights and high-level patient communication skills.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding situations and high-stress environments.
