This travel nursing assignment gives you the chance to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative Cath Lab setting, expanding your skill set across advanced cardiac procedures and exposure to diverse clinical protocols. You'll have the opportunity to refine your professional practice by working closely with multidisciplinary teams and participating on an Emergency On-Call STEMI team—a fantastic way to develop your leadership and crisis response skills.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Weekend and night call required

    • Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active NY RN license (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent cath lab/procedural/sedation experience
  • Proficiency with left/right heart catheterization, coronary stent procedures, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart procedures, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS
  • Experience monitoring sedated patients with a focus on safety and outcomes

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and intervene during cardiac procedures
  • Assist and collaborate as a member of the Emergency On-Call STEMI team
  • Administer oral and IV medications, and monitor for adverse reactions under sedation
  • Educate patients and families on post-op care, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Manage documentation: consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure notes
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and other nursing team members
