Schedule:

  • Rotating shifts; includes working 6 weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shifts within a 6-week period.

    • Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active RN license.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a stepdown environment.
  • Proven experience with trach care is essential.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

    • Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR.
  • Flexibility and a high level of clinical competence are highly valued.

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent nursing care to stepdown and med-surg patients with a patient ratio of 1:3-4 (stepdown) and 1:4-6 (med-surg).
  • Perform specialized procedures such as trach care, managing chest tubes, and wound dressing changes.
  • Utilize advanced equipment including lifts, cardiac drips, and care for stable vented patients.
  • Float between stepdown, med-surg, and progressive care units as needed.
  • Adhere to facility protocols and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
