Travel Med Surg RN – Acute Care/Observation | Nights | Glenwood Springs, CO

A growing Colorado hospital is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a travel assignment in its Acute Care/Observation Unit. This night shift opportunity offers the chance to care for a diverse adult patient population while working in a collaborative environment surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.

With increasing patient volume from orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and acute medical admissions, the unit is looking for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

13-week travel contract

Start Date: August 4

12-hour night shifts

Weekend rotation required

Call rotation required (1 shift every 2 weeks as needed) (rack up some extra money this winter!)

Acute Care/Observation Unit

Meditech EMR

Discounted hospital-affiliated furnished housing available nearby

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult acute care and observation patients

Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Float to Intermediate Care/CCU when appropriate based on patient needs and competency

REQUIREMENTS

Active Colorado RN license

Minimum 2 years of Acute Care, Med Surg, Telemetry, or similar experience required

Minimum 3 years of Med Surg RN experience preferred

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers accepted
