Schedule/Hours:

  • 20-bay unit supporting an average census of 30–40 pediatric patients daily
  • Support from HUCs, dedicated charge nurses, and PACU educators
  • Anesthesia available 24/7
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric critical care experience (2 years preferred)
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • At least one prior travel assignment completed
  • Experience with common ICU drips (heparin, insulin, cardiac), post-op care, and telemetry monitoring
  • Familiarity with EMR: EPIC and IV Pumps: Alaris preferred
  • Strong teamwork ethic and adaptability; collaborative mindset essential
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent post-anesthesia care primarily to pediatric patients
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
  • Occasionally provide care for adults as needed
  • Use hospital-standard technology including Omnicell and Philips monitors
  • Function as part of a team in an open bay setting—“all hands on deck”
  • Participate in a supportive orientation including facility-specific NEO day and two precepted shifts
