Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (day or night)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday support rotation
  • Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • Previous experience in a large facility Medical ICU
  • Skilled in monitoring and managing ventilators and hemodynamic status
  • Competent in critical care pharmacology, including administration of IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
  • Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and central line management
  • Strong critical-thinking skills with adaptability and the ability to collaborate well in a team
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert care to patients in a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit
  • Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 in ICU and 4-5:1 in PCU settings
  • Perform bedside shift reports and participate actively in nurse leader rounding to enhance patient experience
  • Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubation
  • Utilize equipment including ventilators, IV pumps, Targeted Temperature Management systems, and lift gear
  • Float to other units as required, supporting the hospital’s flexible staffing model
  • Adhere to documentation procedures using Cerner and uphold the facility's high standards of care and professionalism
