Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Washington State RN license required
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Proficient in performing catheterization and tube feeding
  • Experienced in charting using your own documentation system
  • Strong understanding of following physician orders and care plans
  • Compassion, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care, including catheterization and tube feeding, to high school students in a life skills classroom
  • Maintain detailed and accurate health records using your preferred documentation system
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and respond effectively to student health needs and emergencies throughout the school day
  • Educate staff and students as needed about health protocols and proper care techniques
  • Ensure compliance with state and district health guidelines and policies
