Assignment Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
  • Start: ASAP
  • End: May 27, 2027
  • School setting: Elementary campus
  • Caseload focus: One-on-one nursing for students requiring American Sign Language (ASL) and specialized medical needs

    • Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license—LPNs are not eligible for this role
  • At least 5 years of experience managing tracheostomies (trach) and feeding tubes, demonstrating a high level of clinical competence
  • Prior work with students who use ASL for communication
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
  • Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams and excellent communication abilities
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting pediatric populations
  • All required credentials must be current and ready for submission

    • Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day, including trach management, tube feeding, medication administration, and health monitoring
  • Partner with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff using ASL as needed
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date health records in compliance with all school and nursing standards
  • Be prepared to respond confidently to health emergencies and complex medical needs during school hours
