This role focuses on making a meaningful impact across multiple schools for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year, supporting a diverse range of students, and collaborating with an engaged health team.

In this part-time position (up to 20 hours per week), you’ll conduct vital health screenings and deliver essential staff training on critical interventions, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the entire school population. This onsite opportunity allows you to work closely with administrators and educators who value and prioritize student health.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid California Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential and RN license required
  • Prior school nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with vision and hearing screenings (approximately 450 screenings)
  • Experience with IEP-related screenings (about 50 annually)
  • Ability to provide training sessions for staff (Narcan, Epipen, glucagon, albuterol administration)
  • Collaborative mindset for consultation with health teams
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screening services for vision, hearing, and IEP requirements
  • Lead health trainings for school staff on emergency medication protocols
  • Serve as a health consultant to teachers, administrators, and classified staff
  • Work across multiple school sites with a diverse student age group
  • Engage in ongoing communication and coordination with district health professionals
