Hours are 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, following the academic calendar through May 28, 2027—ideal for professionals seeking consistent school-day hours.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois (required)
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a school nurse—essential
  • Confidence managing a caseload that may include diabetes, g-tube, and seizure care
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
  • Submit license/certification documentation and an up-to-date resume for consideration
  • Only candidates with RN credentials will be considered; LPNs cannot be accepted
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily health assessments and respond to health emergencies for elementary students
  • Oversee medication administration, care plans, and incident documentation
  • Deliver specialized nursing care as needed (e.g., diabetes management, g-tubes, and seizure intervention)
  • Educate students and staff on health protocols and wellness practices
  • Maintain confidentiality while building supportive relationships with the school community
