Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with active credentials
  • Prior work experience in schools or pediatric settings, especially with special education populations
  • Confident performing multiple G-tube feedings daily
  • Skilled in safe use of Hoyer lifts and providing personal care, including diapering non-ambulatory students
  • Experience managing routine and emergency medication administration
  • Comfortable responding to medical emergencies such as seizures
  • Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine enjoyment of working with students with autism and significant medical needs
  • Resilience and professionalism to thrive in a higher-needs, fast-paced school environment
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care and procedures for students with complex, high-acuity needs
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines
  • Safely use medical equipment and mobility aids (Hoyer lifts, feeding tubes)
  • Monitor and document health status, responding to emergent medical situations
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and teams
