Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized care to a preschool student as a part-time 1:1 Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year with a schedule that supports work-life balance: work afternoons, Tuesday through Friday, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Each day, you'll begin by meeting the student at their home, accompany them on the bus to school, oversee their medical needs during the school afternoon, and ride back with the student.

This role centers on supporting a young learner with complex health requirements—G-tube, trach, and ventilator support—ensuring their safety and participation in the educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care
  • Previous experience in a critical care setting is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with school staff and families
  • Compliance with all state and school health policies
  • Submission of current nursing license/certification and up-to-date resume
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 nursing care throughout the student’s school afternoon, including bus transport to and from school
  • Monitor respiratory status, administer tube feedings, and respond to trach or ventilator needs as necessary
  • Document daily care and communicate any notable health updates to the family and school team
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment for the student
