This opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality care within both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You’ll collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, caring for a range of patients who require acute or step-down intermediate care. Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.

    • Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a PICU or PCU setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of pediatric assessments and interventions.
  • Proficiency in monitoring patients, interpreting data, and responding to emergent situations.
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and progressive care patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition, implement appropriate interventions, and notify healthcare providers as needed.
  • Safely administer medications, perform assessments, and manage equipment relevant to PICU and PCU populations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate and support patients’ families, ensuring they understand treatment plans and participate in care as appropriate.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and update electronic records.
